£360.00£396.00 vat included

Cupra Tavascan compatible Commando charger that will allow you to charge an Cupra Tavascan using a 3 Phase 32A Commando socket (also known as the industrial socket or CEE socket). The 32A Commando charger will provide up to 22kW, dependent upon the AC Onboard charging capacity of the vehicle. This charger will therefore provide no more than the maximum capacity of the Cupra Tavascan. Please check that your 5 pin CEE / Commando socket is 3 Phase 32A. A canvas cable bag is supplied with your charger and there is the option to upgrade to a case that will store more than one EV cable. Please read the user booklet included with your cable before using it. Read below for important information about this charging cable.

Please Read Before You Buy
Our Type 2 to CEE chargers are normally returned for one of the reasons below. Reading this information may help you to avoid having to send your charger back to us. Please also read the Product Description further down the page as it contains important information about this CEE charger.

  • Will the CEE plug fit your CEE / Commando socket? Make sure that you have the correct Commando socket. A 3 Phase socket will have 5 holes and usually have a red cover and a 1 Phase socket will have 3 holes and a blue cover. The Amp rating is usually on the cover of the socket. It should state 32 or 32A.
  • Is the cable long enough? Measure the length from your CEE / Commando socket to where your vehicle will usually be parked (the Type 2 vehicle socket is usually on the right side, to the rear of the vehicle) and add half a metre to avoid over stretching the cable.
  • Is this CEE charger compatible with my vehicle? If you know that your EV has a Type 2 socket, then this Type 2 to CEE charger is compatible with your vehicle. The vehicle will also adjust the current it receives to ensure that the EV will not receive more current than it’s battery will allow. If you are not sure if your vehicle has a Type 2 socket, please view the photos of a Type 2 socket on this page and match them with the vehicle. You can also view a list of Type 2 socket EV’s below, or use our EV Cable Finder.
  • Is this a rapid charging cable? This is not a CCS cable. If you want a cable to use with a DC rapid charger, you do not need to buy one as the cable is always attached to the unit.
Cable Care & Safety
To ensure that you take care of your charger, please make sure that you follow the safety instructions in the user booklet for your charging cable. Please read the booklet before using the CEE charger. If you do not receive the user booklet, please let us know. Please also check out our EV Cable Care Guide for advice about safely using your CEE charging cable and how to avoid the most common reasons why it will stop working.

Use A 380-415V 32A Commando Socket To Charge All Models Of The Cupra Tavascan.

This 3 Phase 32A Commando charger is compatible with the Cupra Tavascan. The charger can deliver up to 22kW of current, but it will only provide the maximum current that the Onboard charger of the Cupra Tavascan will allow.

A 3 Phase 32A Commando socket is also required to use this charger. The Commando socket is also known as the CEE socket and industrial socket.

The available current settings for this charger are 10A, 16A, 26A and 32A. If you require a 32A 3 Phase charger for use with a PV system (solar panels) at 6A or 8A, read on for information regarding our multi-adapter charger.

Is This 32A 3 Phase Commando Charger Suitable For The Cupra Tavascan?

Choosing The Right Charger

The 32A Commando plug will be compatible with your Commando socket if it is 3 Phase 32A, so please check that your socket has 5 pins and states “32A” or “32” on the socket. If your socket is 3 Phase 16A, you will need the 3 Phase 16A CEE charger.

For EV charging, it’s important to ensure the power socket is suitable. Therefore, we recommend a qualified electrician to certify that both the socket and supply are suitable for EV charging.

The Cupra Tavascan has a Type 2 socket as standard, ensuring compatibility with this charger. Please note that the manufacturer of this vehicle did not manufacture this charging cable.

Please also check the information at the top of this page, “Please Read Before You Buy”, to help avoid the most common reasons for returning a charging cable.

Do You Want A Charger With Multiple Adapters?

If you’re in search of an EV charger that is compatible with various power sockets, then consider our multi-adapter charger. The charger supports charging from both 1 Phase and 3 Phase sockets, and provides a current range of 6A to 32A.

This charger allows connection to a variety of outlets. For instance, the 3 pin and 5 pin Commando sockets, the 13A mains socket, and the 16A Euro (Schuko) socket. You have the flexibility to choose the specific adapters you need for your charger. Furthermore, it incorporates a charging timer, enabling charging to start anywhere from 1 to 10 hours after being plugged in. When using the 3 pin UK plug adapter, the charger will automatically select a safe 10A charging mode.

For a detailed breakdown of the maximum currents provided by the multi-adapter charger when used with different adapter/power outlets, refer to the table below:

Adapter & OutletMax kW
3 Phase CEE 32A22kW
3 Phase CEE 16A11kW
1 Phase CEE 32A7,4kW
1 Phase CEE 16A3,7kW
UK 13A 2,2kW
Schuko 16A3,7kW

The maximum current displayed in the above table will not necessarily align with the current that the EV/PHEV can accept. In other words, the vehicle can only accept up to the maximum current of its onboard charger (OBC).

EV Cable Bag And Case

We provide a canvas cable bag (suitable for cables up to 10M) to store this charger when not in use. The bag can also be upgraded to a cable carrier case made from EVA material, which has improved waterproof and impact protection. The EVA case has an elasticated strap in the bottom compartment and elasticated mesh pocket in the top to allow convenient storage of two cables. The EVA case can hold two cables, provided each cable is no longer than 10 meters (with a total combined length of 20 meters) and is neatly wound. You can replace the canvas cable bag with an EVA case by selecting the option available in the basket or on the checkout page.
